Biking, Cows and Giraffees are GREAT!

This weekend, Ollie had another fun weekend full of firsts! Earlier this summer, I got a sweet lilac bike cruiser. I haven't gotten to take it anywhere much, since Ollie is always with me. Well, I found a decent bike trailer on clearance at Target, so we finally got it all together and we went for a family bike ride. We did the right thing and all got bike helmets. My son's head is the size of a 3 year olds! 48 cm and that is the starting size of bike helmets! Ollie did pretty good with the helmet on the first leg of the trip. The second leg, he was not having it. He was flaying and screaming... We had to pull the party over and take it off him. He magically stopped crying as soon as the helmet was off his head. Weird... :)

We also went to The Great NY State Fair. I'm not sure if NY sure really use Great to describe their fair. I know for a fact the food at the MN fair is much, much better. Where were the buckets of delicious chocolate chip cookies?? My splurge for the day was a corn dog and it was sub par! So sad... :( But, there were a few fun things to experience. Oliver got to feed a giraffee!! How freakin' cool is that?!? His eye grew exponentially when the giraffee's huge tongue came towards Bill's hand to fetch the carrot. And, the fair didn't have a shortage of things to put his head through. I'm not sure why, but the kid LOVES to stick his head in this things! *Shake my head*

And, while we got into the dairy products area, we came across this adorable cow ride for little ones. There is nothing like a ridiculously cute purple holstein to make you miss home! Ollie really enjoyed the ride.
